Steve Holcomb concludes training for 4-man World Championship
WINTERBERG, Germany – The Bo-Dyn built Night Train 2 with pilot Steve Holcomb and crew, turned may heads again Thursday by posting the fastest time in the day’s first training run.
German sleds did not run in heat two and seems like they are sleeping like they did in practice for the two-man last week before winning the world title. But Holcomb also posted speed that the WInterberg track has never seen.
His speed of 138.30 kilometers per hour (about 85 MPH) was half a kilometer faster than any other sled. In the final training run prior to the race, Holcomb had 16th fastest start and seventh best down time with no German sleds. That was Holcomb’s slowest of the week, but this is when he posted one of the best speeds ever posted on the track. He had comparable speed on Wednesday.
Friday is the traditional day off prior to race days. All four heats can be seen live Saturday and Sunday live on FIBT.com.
Universal Sports will air a two-hour program Sunday at 3 PM EST.
